Divorce
Resource Connecticut is the go-to resource for information on the
divorce process in Connecticut. It is a collaboration between
Rosemarie Ferrante, Esq. of Divorce Mediation Center of Fairfield
County, LLC and Hollis Hardiman, CDFA of Merit Financial Group.
Rosemarie & Hollis have been providing education, support and
wellness workshops for individuals contemplating or in the early
stages of the divorce process since
2015.
WORKSHOPS DESIGNED TO HELP INDIVIDUALS IN THE EARLY STAGES OF THE DIVORCE PROCESS
The workshops are designed to help participants explore the legal, financial and emotional issues of divorce to gain a greater understanding of the process.
We are committed to helping individuals gain a greater understanding of the intricacies of divorce so as to make the best decisions for their family before embarking on the divorce process.
TRADITIONAL WORKSHOP: Our traditional workshop
is a 3 hour, in person, workshop. This workshop features an
overview, from Rosemarie, of the legal options for proceeding with
a divorce in CT. Rosemarie's partner, Hollis Hardiman, CDFA
provides a breakdown of the financial considerations one must
contemplate. Finally, a guest presenter, typically a mental health
professional focuses on one of a number of relevant topics, such as
how to tell the children, positive communication with your spouse/
former spouse, and self-care. These workshops sometimes offer
break-out sessions for energy and wellness exercises led by
wellness professionals, such as a Reiki master who specializes
in IET and Reconnective Healing sessions and a yoga therapist
who specializes in energy healing.
LUNCH AND LEARN: Our lunch and learn is a condensed 1- 1 1/2 hour workshop held via Zoom. During this workshop, where participants can join anonymously, we focus on the most important legal and financial considerations one must consider when contemplating or in the early stages of the divorce process. We have a Q&A portion at the end of this workshop.
SPECIALTY WORKSHOPS: We occasionally offer specialty workshops, taking a deeper dive into specific issues, such as co-parenting during the pandemic, college planning, diving retirement assets and post-divorce financial planning. Keep an eye on our schedule for all such specialty workshops!
PRIVATE WORKSHOPS: We also offer private workshops for groups of 5 or more and couples workshops for couples contemplating divorce, but interesting in learning more about the legal and financial considerations before making such an important family decision. Please contact us for more information.
